Susan A. Carmichael of McHenry The funeral Mass for Susan A. Carmichael (nee Gleeson), 36, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 19, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 3500 W. Washington, McHenry. Interment will be in St. Patrick Countryside in McHenry. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 18, at the Colonial Funeral Home, 591 Ridgeview Drive, McHenry. Born Dec. 21, 1971, in McHenry, to William J. and Elaine A. (Siwek) Gleeson, she died Monday, July 14, 2008, at Memorial Medical Center in Woodstock. On Nov. 11, 1987, she married Robert E. Carmichael in Waukegan. An avid animal lover, she was very involved in saving and caring for them with local shelters and Pets In Need. She was an active volunteer at Valley View and very loving and involved mother with her children and their activities. She is survived by her husband, Robert E. Carmichael of McHenry; children, Robyn, Alexandra and Daniel Carmichael of McHenry; mother, Elaine Gleeson of McHenry; and her brother and sisters, Lynn (Ronald) Kloeckner of McHenry, William Gleeson of Lake Geneva, Lorrie (Gary) Rhoton and Gail (Michael) Sedey of California. She was preceded in death by her father, William Gleeson Sr.; and her grandmother, Mary Siwek. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated to the Susan Carmichael Children's Educational Fund, c/o First National Bank of McHenry, 3814 W. Elm Street, McHenry, IL 60050.
