Elouise or "Ellie" was born January 23, 1928, in a modest home in Annis, Idaho. She was the 13th child born to Fredrick and Nancy Casper Browning. She had seven brothers and five sisters. She spent her youth in the Annis area where she attended grade school and graduated Salutatorian in 1946 from Midway High School. She married Milton Muir Tate on September 14, 1947. They made their home in Idaho Falls and Ammon. Elouise worked checking groceries for forty years. She enjoyed friends she met through her work. She considered each a cherished friend. She and Milt traveled to Apache Junction, Arizona, a number of years, finally buying a winter home in Road Haven Resort. October through April, their days were filled with golf, flea markets, entertaining, grandchildren spending spring breaks with them there, trips to Mexico, and making new friends.
Elouise is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many callings and other opportunities that came her way. Family was her whole world. In March of 1964, they were sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She considered her nieces and nephews very special and loved each dearly and loved each time they visited her.
When she moved into Morning Star Assisted Living, mom made herself right at home and loved each of the residents and employees there. Mom was a hard working, fun loving and wonderful Mother. She taught us the value of hard work, honesty, doing one's best at whatever the task and to never give up. She insisted on always paying her way through life and found great satisfaction in seeing and making others happy.
Elouise is survived by her three daughters
Gloria (Jerry) Greenhagen of South Jordon, UT;
Nancy (Alan) Marley of Idaho Falls;
Connie (Gary) Sexton of Henderson, NV;
a sister Venda Renken of Idaho Falls;
daughter-in-law Vicki Boyer of Chubbuck;
eight grandchildren, Doug (Heather) Marley, Kami (Matt) Jones, Shawn (David) Chamberlain, Mindee (Ethan) Meyer, Angie (Cameron) Field, Holly (Darrell) Carver, Tara (Jeff) Miller and Megan (Brett) Summers;
and 27 great-grandchildren, each one dear to her.
She will be warmly remembered for her quick wit, funny sayings, and smile that lit a room. We will miss her every day. We Love you Mom and Grandma T! Until we meet again.
