Emmer Paul Braham, 81, of Lubeck, passed away Feb. 11, 2014, at his home.
He was born Aug. 7, 1932, in Parkersburg, a son of the late Walter R. and Lena L. Hull Braham.
Emmer was a member of Lubeck church of Christ and retired from Kaiser Aluminum with 15 years of service as a furnace operator. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Jackson County C.B. Club, had served as an Auxiliary Policeman in Ravenswood and was one of the first certified E.M.T.'s in the state of West Virginia. He had served with the Ravenswood Volunteer Fire Department and was a Charter Member of the Silverton Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a WVU Mountaineer Fan.
Surviving is his wife, Jenoise Yoho Braham; two daughters, Lois Ann Ripley and D.J. (Guy) Haynes, both of Parkersburg; four grandchildren, Ryan (Lori Ferrara) Morris, Kayla Morris, Sarah (Joshua) Tucker and Suzanne Ripley; two step grandchildren, Heather Bailey and Andrew Haynes; one great-granddaughter, Ella Tucker; two step great-grandchildren, Alexas Bailey and Scott Bailey; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Blaine Braham and Walter Ray Braham; and a sister, Wanda Richards.
The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St., Parkersburg. Evangelist Steve Fuchs and Emmer's brother-in-law, Evangelist Gale Yoho, will officiate and burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery with military rites conducted by American Legion Post 15. The visitation will be Sunday from 2-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
