Lela Mae Vaughan, 76, Eldon, died Sunday at the University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics. She was born Nov. 3, 1919, in Miller County, a daughter of Walter J. and Rosa Kay Jones. She was married to Oval C. “Toad” Vaughan, who survives at the home.

A lifetime resident of Miller County, she was a member of the Old Path Church, Eldon. A retired restaurant worker, she had been employed as a cook at Bernie’s Restaurant, Eldon.

Other survivors include: one son, Oval Dewayne Vaughan, Eldon; four daughters, Oleda Jean Mingus, Carolyn Allen and Kathy Irwin, all of Eldon, and Esther Mariott, Jefferson City; one sister, Bertha Zimmerman, Eldon; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Griswold-Kays Funeral Home, Eldon. Danny Graham will officiate. Burial will be in Greenmore Memorial Gardens.
