Mary Lucile Post, 98, of Washington, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at Washington Christian Village, Thursday, January 30, 2014.

Lucile was born July 30, 1915 in Lewistown, IL to John L. and Mary (Harn) Taylor. She married Paul G. Post on June 29, 1935 in Mt. Pleasant, IA, who preceded her in death in 1999. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Irene Keime, and an infant brother, Lucien.

Most people knew her as Lucile. Surviving is her three children, Bonnie (Orville) Voelkel of San Antonio, Texas, Linda Dyer of Washington, and Jerry (Brenda) Post of Bluffton, South Carolina; eight grandchildren Daniel Hieronymus, David Hieronymus, Douglas Hieronymus, Diane Hieronymus Amberson, Elaine Kinsinger Bishop, John Kinsinger, Cris Post and Chad Post; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and eleven great-great grandchildren.

Lucile was a member of Washington Christian Church where she was active and helped lead lessons in the Loyal Circle class and later the Christian Sisters class. She was a receptionist at Eureka College for many years and later became a real estate consultant.

Lucile will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was soft-spoken and lived her faith.
