Eliza Maria (Drake) Zimmerman was age 70 when she passed away from heart and kidney problems.

MRS. A. ZIMMERMAN DEAD.

Mrs. Eliza M. Zimmerman, wife
of J. Adine Zimmerman, died Sun-
day night at her home on West
Franklin street after a lingering ill-
ness. She was deeply beloved by
a large circle of friends and will be
greatly missed and mourned.

She was born in Green Valley,
New Jersey, November 15, 1833,
hence at the time of her death was
in her 72nd year. She was married
to Mr. Zimmerman at Plainfield,
N. J., July 3, 1850. She came to
Taylorville with her husband in
1875 and had ever since made this
place her home.

At the early age of 12 Mrs. Zim-
merman united with the Baptist
church and had ever been a stead-
fast, earnest Christian. Her life
was pure, full of kindly acts and she
has gone to the reward promised
the “pure in heart.”

Fourteen children were born to
Mr. and Mrs. Zimmerman. The
father and eight children are still
living. The children are:
A. R. Zimmerman, of Bourbon, Ind.;
Mrs. Ida Clemens, Wakeeny, Kan.;
Mrs. Gerald McCurdy, Decatur,
Mrs. Ida Hendricks, Taylorville,
Mrs. Ed Mills, Taylorville,
Frank J. Zimmerman, Taylorville,
Mrs. John Bedwell, Taylorville,
George J. Zimmerman, of Taylorville.

The funeral services will be held
at 2:30 o’clock Tuesday afternoon
at the Baptist church, Rev. R. C.
Hull officiating. Friends wishing
to view the remains are requested
to call at the family residence from
10 a. m. until noon Tuesday.
