Highland Mourns While Funeral Of Mrs. Cadwallader Conducted; Many Friends Present for Rite
Pioneer of San Bernardino Valley is Laid to Final Rest in Mountain View
HIGHLAND, May 5 - Highland community flag hung at half mast today in silent farewell tribute to a departed citizen, the late Mrs. G. V. Cadwallader.
Friends from the San Bernardino valley gathered this forenoon at 10 o'clock for the service, held at the Mark B. Shaw memorial chapel. Her pastor, the Rev. Newton H. Hudsonm officiated.
The Rev. Mr. Hudson referred to Mrs. Cadwallader as a pioneer Christian mother. In accordance with the family wishes there was little of eulogy, the splendid life of the deceased in home, church and community circles bearing eloquent testimony. Mrs. Ralph Graham, accompanied by Mrs. Lee A. Clar, sang three favorite hymns, "In the Garden", "The City Four-Square" and "Some Sweet Day."
Interment was in Mountain View cemetery where a blanket of flowers covered the graveand bespoke the love and sympathy of friends. Pallbearers were the four sons, W. E. Cadwallader, D. E. Cadwalader, Guy and John Cadwallader; a brother-in-law, George S. Thompson, and a grandson, Willis Cadwallader, of Santa Ana.
