Mr. and Mrs. Guy V. Cadwallader have received a box of sample vegetables from the ranches of their daughter, Miss Jessie, and son, Guy, of Beryl, Utah. The vegetables were raised under dry farming conditions.

In the 1930 U. S. census, 78 yr. old Guy V. Cadwallader, a citrus farmer and employer, b. in IL., was living on a farm he owned on Base Line in Highland, San Bernardino, CA. with his
69 yr. old wife, Clara R Cadwallader, b. in IN.
38 yr. old son, John R Cadwallader, b. in CA.
39 yr. old daughter-in-law, Lillian M Cadwallader, b. in TN.
There was a radio set in the home.
Guy was 25 yrs. old and Clara was 24 at the time of their first marriages. John was 38 and Lillian was 39 when they married.
Guy's parents were both b. in PA.

Family Reunions Feature Christmas for Highland
HIGHLAND, Dec. 26 - Christmas was very quietly spent in Highland, with family turkey dinners as the leading feature, and gatherings in many instances marked happy reunions,
The Cadwallader home in East Highlands had most of the children back with G. V. Cadwallader and Mr. and Mrs. Cadwallader for a delicious turkey dinner and celebration. Lovely roses and narcissus from the home garden decorated the living rooms. Others of the family present were Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Rutledge of Santa Ana; Miss Clara Rutledge of Redlands; Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Cadwallader and daughter, Mary Ann of Glendale, and their grandson, William Corwin, of Long Beach; Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Cadwallader and daughters, Sadie Ann and Jean of Redlands; Mr. and Mrs. Guy Cadwallader and twins, Vernon and Frances, of Glendale. Mr. Cadwallader's family was all here for the reunion except the twin daughters, Mrs. F. J. Martin of San Jose and Mrs. W. J. Mangis of Mountain View, near Calistoga and Mr. and Mrs. Martin and son, Arthur, were with Mr. and Mrs. Mangis, who entertained at a Christmas celebration.

DEATH CLAIMS HIGHLAND MAN
G. V. Cadwallader, pioneer of the Highland district and well-known rancher, died yesterday at his East Highlands home. He was 84 years old.
Although Mr. Cadwallader had been in poor health for some time, his death was believed to have been hastened by the passing of his son, Esleys Cadwallader, Jan. 15. Since that time he failed rapidly.
Mr. Cadwallader had resided for 50 years at the same homesite.
Six children survive. They are William A. Cadwallader of Glendora; Mrs. W. T. Rutledge, Santa Ana; Mrs. Jesse Magnus, Calistoga; Mrs. Stella Martin, San Jose; Guy R. of Glendale and John R. Cadwallader, who had resided with his father at East Highlands.
He also leaves nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Mrs. Cadwallader died some years ago.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Mark B. Shaw Co. chapel in San Bernardino. Mr. Cadwallader was a member of the Highland Methodist church.

Highland Rancher's Will Filed in Court
The will of Guy Vernon Cadwallader, who died Sunday at his East Highlands home, was filed for probate in superior court yesterday, disposing of an estate valued at about $10,000.
John R. Cadwallader, of Highland, a son, is the chief beneficiary, receiving a five and one-half acre citrus ranch owned by his father.
Bequests of $10 were made to several other children, including Guy B. Cadwallader of Glendale; Mrs. Jesse Mangis, of Calistoga; Mrs. Estella Martin, of San Jose; Mrs. Sarah Ann Rutledge, of Santa Ana and W. A. Cadwallader, of Glendora.
The will was drawn on March 4.
