Mary Elizabeth Ewalt, age 90, of St. Louis, MO died Thursday, January 28, 2010 in the Bethesda Dilworth Memorial Home in St. Louis.

She was born April 13, 1919 in Lewistown, MO a daughter of C. Mortimer and Julia Henderson Ewalt.

Mary was the great-granddaughter of Elder D. Pat Henderson, a founder of Christian College, now Culver-Stockton College in Canton, MO.

She was a graduate of Harris College in St. Louis and Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. She taught for some years in the St. Louis public schools and later worked for the Sigma Aldrich Corporation. She was also an active community volunteer. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in St. Louis.

She is survived by relatives including the children and grandchildren of her first cousins, Ellen Bowlin Boulware and Richard Henderson Bowlin and by friends. Graveside services will be held at a later date in Forest Grove Cemetery in Canton.
