Emma was the daughter of Charles Hillier Goodman and Florence Milton. She came to Canada in 1920 with her husband, William Henry Parker and infant son, Harry. They settled in Kent County, Ontario where William's brother had been living since 1910, when he came over as a British home child through Dr. Barnardo's Homes. They went on to raise 5 boys and one girl. Emma sadly died on route via air to England to visit her family. She was returned home to Canada for burial.
