The Oregonian, March 28, 1993:

"Curtiss L. Beebe died of cancer Monday in his Northeast Portland home. He was 79.

At his request, no service will be held.

Born July 14, 1913, in Seattle, Mr. Beebe attended school in Washington state. He graduated from the University of Washington in 1935. Mr. Beebe served in the U. S. Army, where he achieved the rank of lieutenant colonel. He retired from active duty April 10, 1946.

Mr. Beebe worked in property management for Norris Beggs & Simpson in Portland from 1936 to 1968. He had served on the company's board of directors, both as vice president and treasurer. He joined Norris & Stevens in 1969 and retired in 1978.

Mr. Beebe had served as president of the Portland Building Owners and Managers Association.

He also belonged to the Scabbard & Blade Military Honor Society, the Reserve Officers Association and the Portland Power Squadron.

In addition to Edith, his wife of 52 years, he is survived by his brother, Albert H. of Anacortes, Wash.

Disposition was by cremation."
