Mrs. Deborah Joan Giorgio Hamilton, age 61 of Gilmer, passed away Monday, January 20th.

She graduated from La Porte High School in La Porte, Texas in 1970, and she learned about life and love and the true meaning of being a flowerchild in Austin and in the mountains and in various small towns of the desert in Eastern New Mexico in the 1970's.

Mrs. Hamilton gained an immense talent for cooking from her mother who learned it from her in-laws who were born in Italy. She also had a lifelong love of music and played both the guitar and piano. She loved to sing throughout her life and was in various high school and Church choir productions.

Survivors include her husband Donald K Hamilton; daughter Desiree Elizabeth; son Deric Donald; sisters Mary Linda Giorgio and Beverly Giorgio; stepfather Jerry Sowell; brother Michael Lord; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and relatives and friends across the county.

Preceded in death by her birth father Silvo Giorgio; and her mother Clara Ann Reichert Sowell.

Celebration of Life for Mrs. Hamilton was held at the First United Methodist Church in Pittsburg, Texas.
