Alberta Gaylor, 88, of Bloomington, died Tuesday at Bloomington Convalescent Center.

Born Jan. 28, 1910, in South Bend, she was the daughter of William Henry and Daisy (Morris) Braman. She was a homemaker and member of Ellettsville First United Methodist Church and the Golden Circle.

Survivors include two daughters, Janet Algood of Bloomington and Barbara Gaylor of Ellettsville; her foster daughter, Marilyn Peterson of Ellettsville; her companion, Cecil Arbuckle of Beech Grove; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. "Jack" Gaylor, in 1991, and two brothers, George L. Braman and Charles Braman.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene and Harrell Chapel, with P.T. Wilson officiating. Entombment will be at Valhalla Mausoleum.

Friends may call 3-6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Ellettsville First United Methodist Church or to the charity of one's choice.
