"Jack" Snipes was the oldest of three children born to Emma Louise Brock and James Cook Snipes, Sr. He served 20 years in the Air Force and served in Italy, Germany, and at the Pentagon. He married Elizabeth Thorn in 1943 in Washington, DC. After Elizabeth's passing, Jack married Ellen Louise Craw Barber in Arlington, Virginia in 1976.

Jack was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather.
