Helen M. Bower, 68, Dies After Brief Illness
Helen Maass Bower, 68, died Tuesday, (March 11, 1980) at Lockport Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
Born in the Town of Royalton on March 28, 1911, she was the daughter of Sam and Lily Riddle Maass.
She lived in the Town of Royalton and Lockport for her entire life ad was a member of the Rapids Christian Chapel.
Mrs. Bower is survived by four sons, Leonard Bower, Milton Bower, Roger Bower and Lester Bower. All of Lockport; one daughter, Mrs. Marvin (Joyce) Sweryda of Webster, N.Y.; five sisters, Miss Gladys Maass, Mrs. Haddie Newman, Mrs. Elizabeth Stern, Mrs. Saide Burkhardt and Mrs. Idabel Bedford; 12 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the wife of the late Lester Bower and the mother of the late Mrs. Irene Bower.
Friends May call Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. At the Gaul Funeral Home, Inc., 263 East Ave. A funeral will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Rapids Christian Chapel Interment will be in Dysinger Cemetery.
