DAVENPORT — Mary Van Den Berghe, 99, Davenport, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2000, at Genesis Medical Center-West Campus, Dav-enport, after a brief illness.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Daven-port. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Dav-enport.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport, with a prayer ser-vice at 7:30 p.m. There will be an addi-tional visitation from 9:15 a.m. until the time of services at the church.

Mary Bleyaert was born Dec. 25, 1900, in Newark, N.J., the daughter of Camiel and Mary (Barra) Bleyaert. She married Ferdinand Ven Den Berghe on Dec. 30, 1920, at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Long Grove. He preceded her in death May 23, 1965.

Mrs. Van Den Berghe was a talented gardener and enjoyed crocheting. The time most precious to her was that spent with her family and grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the church, Walcott Volunteer Fire Department or Walcott's Victory Park.
