Beaver County Times, Jan 6, 1981: Mrs. Iva Willoughby Striffler, 77, of 6116 Isla St., Melbourne, Fla., formerly of Economy, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 1981, in the Holmes Regional Hospital, Melbourne, following an extended illness.
Born Oct. 26, 1903, in Hawk Run, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Fred and Lillian Berkey Willoughby.
She had resided in the Economy Boro area for many years prior to moving to Florida in 1968. She was a graduate of Sewickley Valley Hospital School of Nursing; member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Economy Boro, and the Sewickley Valley Hospital Alumnae Association.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Striffler, Sr., November, 1979 and a son, Harry in 1963.
Surviving are two sons, William F. Jr., Melbourne, and Jack T., Economy, two daughters, Mrs. Norman (Margaret) Kopp, Melbourne, and Mrs. Robert (Lillian) Oliphant, Aliquippa; 21 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Kenneth E. Hare Funeral Home, 600 Park Road, Ambridge, where a service will be conducted Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Charles Shade, her pastor, officiating.
Interment will take place in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Daugherty Township.
Memorial contributions may be made, if so desired, to the Sewickley Valley Hospital Alumnae Association.
