Myrtle, MS - formerly of Walnut, Teresa Lynn Whitehead Barnes, 53, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at North MS. Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born December 7, 1960 to Edward and Madeine Brooks Whitehead. She was a member of First Apostolic Church in Ripley. She was a LPN.
Services will be at 1:00 pm, Friday, February 7, 2014 at Christ Temple Apostolic Church in Walnut with Bro. Tim Hall and Bro. Omega Hall officiating. Burial will be Church Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Barnes of Myrtle; three daughters, Jessica Barnes, Amanda Harp (Jeff), Haley Barnes, and one adopted daughter, Christina Hughes, all of Myrtle; one son, Gary Lee Barnes, Jr. of Myrtle and one step-son, Brian Barnes (Tiffany) of Parson, TN; three sisters, Diane Hopkins (Danny), and Tracey Williams (W.J.), both of Ashland, and Gail Vance (David) of Myrtle; one brother, Eddie Whitehead of Ashland; three grandchildren, Gracie, Katie and Taylor Harp.
Pallbearers will be Anthony, Jeremy and Brandon Barnes, Dustin Walker, Jesse Williams and Shane Matheny. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jimmy and Kevin Brooks.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm, Thursday, February 6, 2014 until 1:00 pm Friday, February 7, 2014 at Christ Temple Church in Walnut.
