Marilyn Jean (Brumfield) Lambert, 84, of Anderson, went home to be with her Lord on February 3, 2014 after a brief illness. She was born February 8, 1929, to the late Walter A. and Isadora C. (Jenkins) Brumfield in Portsmouth, Ohio. Marilyn married Gerald E. Lambert on May 5, 1947 in her hometown and he preceded her in death on September 21, 1994. The couple moved to Anderson to raise their family and she has lived in the area for the remainder of her life. She enjoyed shopping, TV Westerns and Game Shows, but mostly she was devoted to her family and her church, East Side Baptist Church in Muncie. Marilyn is survived by six of her seven children, Gerald (Kathey) Lambert, Jr., Shirley (Ron) Schlemmer, Debra (James) Hummel, Eric (Veronica) Lambert, Barbara (Fred) Harpham and Tina (Kirk) Smith; 19 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and her son-in-law, Carl Colvin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald, Sr.; her daughter, Cindy Colvin; her grandson, David Harpham; and her brothers, Dean, Bob, Don and Jack Brumfield.
