Leslie D. Tenney, husband of Pastor
Leslie D. Tennery, 69 of 61 Howland Avenue, Adams, husband of Rev. Ethel (Lombard) Tenney, pastor of Jesus Saves Tabernacle in North Adams, die at 4 this morning at the W. B. Plunkett Memorial Hospital in Adams, where he was admitted yesterday. Death followed a long illness.
Mr. Tenney was born in North Adams, a son of the late Lawrence and Estelle (Jones) Tenney, and had always lived in the area. He had lived in Adams 40 years. He had been employed 47 years by the Arnold Print Works when he retired.
He was the oldest member of Jesus Saves Tabernacle and was superintendent of the Sunday School and church treasurer. He also was a member of the board of director of the Advent Christian Campground at White River Junction, Vermont.
Besides his wife, he leaves four children, two daughters, Mrs. Ralph D. Bellows of Brewster, and Mrs. Floyd Wilson of Adams, two sons, Lawrence E. of Pleasanto, California, and Leslie D. Tenney Jr. of Derby, Connecticut. 17 grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Jeremiah Hurlbut of this city, and many nieces and nephews,
Calling hours at the San Soucie Funeral Home in this city will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Jesus Saves Tabernacle, with the Rev. Ralph D. Bellows, his son in law, pastor of Grace Chapel of the assembly of God, Eastham, and the Rev. Anthony Testasecca, new pastor of Bethel Pentecostal Church in this city, officiating. Burial will be in the family lot in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams.

Funeral services for Leslie D. Tenney, 69, of 61 Howland Avenue, Adams, were at 2 this afternoon in Jesus Saves Full Gospel Tabernacle in this city. The church service was largely attended.
Mr. Tenney, whose wife is the pastor of the church, died yesterday morning at the W. B. Plunkett Memorial Hospital in Adams, where he was admitted Sunday. Death followed a long illness.
The Rev. Ralph D. Bellows of Brewster, pastor of Grace Chapel of the Assembly of God at Eastham, his son in law, and the Rev. Anthony Testasecca, pastor of Bethel Pentecostal Church in this city, conducted the service. The Rev. Marin L. Ball, pastor of the Berkshire Full Gospel Church, Pittsfield, sang the hymn, "Accepted in the Beloved," Mrs. Ball was organist.
Burial was in the family lot in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams, with Mr. Bellows and Mr. Testasrcca conducting the committal service.
Bearers wer Leslie D. Tenny Jr., of Derby, Connecticut, and Lawrence E. Tenney, of Pleasanton, California, his sons, Floyd Wilson of Adams, a son in law, and Melvin Lillie.
