Mr. Mouton, known to his friends as "Big Mike" was a long time resident of Lafayette and founder of the Performance Medical Group headquartered in the city. He was an Oblate of the Olivetan Benedictine Order. Most importantly, "Big Mike" fed, clothed, educated, and cared for many of the 230 HIV+ children of Sarnelli House, a Redemptionist orphanage located in northeast Thailand founded by Big Mike's good friend, Father Michael Shea.
