Obituary:
Mrs. Rosa M. Seely, who has been one of Boulder's most prominent and popular women over a period of fifty-eight years residence in this city died this morning at Community Hospital after two weeks illness.
She was the widow of Worth L. Seely, who came to Boulder in the eighties to engage in metal mining. He later became a furniture dealer in Boulder, a leader in Decocratic politics and member of the first railroad commission later became the present utility commission, its powers being extended. Mr. Seely died in Boulder, April 1928.
Mrs. Seely was a charter member of Boulder Women's club and was very active in that organization for many years. She was a member of Arapahoe Chapter, Daughters of American Revolution; of Social Order of Beauceant, which is an auxiliary of Knights Templar; and of Margaret's Guild, a women's organization of St. John's Episcopal church of which she had been a member all of the years of her residence in Boulder. She was active a long period of years in each organization.
Surviving Mrs. Seely are three daughters and a son, Robert. Mrs. Josephine Dyer, teacher in Morey Junior High, and Mrs. Marie Roberts of Montrose, have been at her bedside. The other daughter, Mrs. Effie Wardenburg, wife of Frederick A. Wardenburg, will arrive in Denver by airplane Tuesday from her home in Willmington, Delaware. The son, Robert Seely, who is in the furniture business at Montrose with his brother-in-law, Roy P. Roberts, arrived this noon.
Funeral arrangements have not been made. The body is at Hall-Kelso mortuary. Interment will be beside Mr. Seely in Columbia cemetery.
Mrs. Seely was born in Aztlow, Wisconsin, December 15, 1957.
