Orville was a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army during WW II in Japan. He retired as Parts & Service Manager from Classrooms Inc. after 25 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking and traveling. He was a member of the Central Free Methodist Church for over 80 years.
He is survived by his two sons, Leonard O. Dafoe (Carla Haenlein) and Bruce A. Dafoe; a daughter, Janet (Philip) Scarborough; 5 Grandchildren; 8 Great-Grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Mary; his parents, and 13 brothers and sisters.
Funeral Service was Thursday, at Central Free Methodist Church, Lansing with Rev. Bruce N.G. Cromwell, PhD officiating.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in Orville's memory may be made to the Central Free Methodist Church.
The family is being served by Tiffany Funeral Home.
