Deborah Lynn Witcher July 23, 1959 - March 30, 2011 Deborah was born in Mid-Land Texas on July 23, 1959 and moved to Kern County when she was very young. She is survived by her husband and best friend David Witcher Sr; son JJ Beyer and his wife Rachel; daughter Taira Gandarilla and her husband Jason; step-children, David Witcher Jr., Jeremiah Payne and Jazmine Jacks. Her greatest joy in her life was her grandchildren, Izayah, Eric, Angelina, Erica, Noah, Arielle, Jayden, and Ryann. Her mother Sandy White, brothers Jim and Roy Scott; sisters Louise Willis and Darlene Smiley, along with many family members and friends who feel blesses to have been apart of her life. Debbie worked for the City of Delano for over 20 years. She took great pride in every job she did from being a Sergeant in the correctional facility to her uncanny ability in home renovation. She approached every situation with an ethic that was second to none. She loved every aspect of life from cross country vacations and cruises to quiet evening at home with her husband watching television. She loved unconditionally and pulled no punches with friends and family. She was a very humble person who always put the needs of others before her own. Deborah lost a three year battle with cancer at 7:30pm on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 in the comfort of her own home. Her strength and strong faith will live on forever as inspiration to those who knew and loved her. Her life will be celebrated on Thursday, April 21st, at Bakersfield New Life Center at 10:00 a.m. www.bakersfield.com/obits
