On August 6, 1919, the American Consulate in Barcelona, Spain, notified the Secretary of State that Mr. George M. Eustace had died in an accident earlier on March 26. The employer, Riegos y Fuerza del Ebro, failed to report Mr. Eustace's death until the Consul was on a short visit to Camarasa in Lerida province, approximately 180 miles west of Barcelona, on May 30.

The only known next of kin, Grace LeVeaux of Los Angeles, CA, was notified of Mr. Eustace's death by the American Consulate-General in Barcelona, Spain. George M. Eustace was unmarried and was the son of Thomas Allen Eustace and Mary Belle Kirk. Miss LeVeaux was the daughter of Paul LeVeaux and Mary Belle Kirk.
