LAYTON – Mrs. Catherine Susannah Whitesides, 90, of Burley, Idaho, former Layton resident, died Tuesday at her home after an extended illness.
Mrs. Whitesides was born may 23, 1874, in Layton, a daughter of George W. and Mary Ann Pilling Adams. She married to John A. Whitesides on May 31, 1893, in Layton. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Mr. Whitesides died in April 1962.
Surviving are the following sons and daughters: Mrs. John L. (Zona) Mills, Evanston, Wyo,; John M. Whitesides, Salt Lake City; George L. Whitesides, Reed W. Whitesides, Mrs. Marian (Kay) Thaxton, all of Burley; Vance W. Whitesides, Longview, Wash.; Mrs. R. W. (Myrl) Walters, Nampa, Idaho; 24 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Etta Carlos, Layton
Friends may call at Lindquist Chapel of Memories, 340 N. Main, Kaysville, Friday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in Kaysville-Layton Memorial Park.
