Martha A. Schrimsher Holmes, agae 80, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2014 at her residence. Mrs. Holmes was born July 5, 1933 in Limestone County to Hartselle Schrimsher and Ethel Wales Schrimsher.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Holmes; parents, Hartselle and Ethel Schrimsher; brother, Jimmy Schrimsher; sisters, Joyce Cribbs, Joan Yarbrough, Katherine Schrimsher and Nancy Curley.
She is survived by her son, Randy Holmes and his wife Charlotte; 3 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Charlotte Davis and Barbara Atchley; and brother, Douglas Schrimsher and wife Laurene.
Graveside services will be Monday, February 3, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery.
