Pauline Anna McClain, 80, Topeka, died Friday, July 3, 1992 at a Topeka hospital. She was born July 17, 1911 in Topeka, the daughter of George and Ann Marie Jacobs Burghart.

Mrs. McClain had worked for Ralph Bear's Chichen Factory, Morrell Packing Company and Ira Price Cafe. She was retired. She was a life resident of Topeka. Mrs. McClain was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

She was married to Leonard A. Bennett in 1936. They were divorced. She was married to Goerge H. "Ed" McClain on Feb. 14, 1959 in Lawrence. He survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Leonard A. Bennett Jr., and Robert H. Bennett, both of Topeka; two stepsons, Ronald McClain, Joplin, Mo., and James McClain, Edgewood, N.M.; a daughter, Patricia A. Moore, Topeka; a stepdaughter, Waunita J. Cain, Topeka; a brother, LeRoy Burghart, Topeka; two sisters, Elizabeth Price and Georgina Moore, both of Topeka; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Topeka Cemetery. Mrs. McClain will lie in state after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday.
