Myron Charles Purdy, a native of Minnesota and a resident of St. Francis Home in La Crosse, died at his home on Christmas Day in 1989 at the age of 90. He was a Veteran of World War I serving in the U. S. NAVY. Mr. Purdy married Lucille Bullinger in Red Wing, Minnesota on September 25, 1920. They moved to La Crosse, Wisconsin where he was a meat cutter for many years and the business agent for the Local Meat Cutters Union. He was a member of Roy L. Vingers Post 52, American Legion. Mr. Purdy was predeceased in death by his wife on November 6, 1989; two sisters and two brothers. Survivors include three daughters, a son, twelve grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Private services will be held and burial will be in Catholic Cemetery of La Crosse. The family requests memorials to St. Francis Home.
