Mrs. Dorothy Marie McLaird died in Lake City Hospital, Wabasha, Minnesota. A native of Red Wing, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Samuel and Anna Ceder Purdy. Mrs. McLaird was a 1926 graduate of Winona Teachers College and was a rural school teacher. She married Herbert Merlin McLaird on July 21, 1928 in Lake City. She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Lake City, and past president of the First District American Legion Auxiliary. Mrs. McLaird was predeceased in death by her parents and two brothers. Survivors include her husband, Herbert; a son, Robert Merlin McLaird; a brother and a sister. Funeral services will be in St. Mark's Episcopal Church and burial in Memorial Hills Cemetery in Lake Benton, Minnesota.
