---------------

Death of Old Resident.
Benjamin G. Crisman, of Crisman Station, this county, died at his home Thursday morning after an illness lasting several months, at the age of 90 years.

The deceased had been a continuous resident of this county since 1849. He was born June 9, 1814, at Sinking Valley, Huntingdom county, Pa.

The early life of Mr. Crisman was spent on a farm, and after he reached the age of twenty-one he continued to remain with and assist his father. In 1849 he came by wagon to this county where he purchased a 240 acre tract which he greatly improved with the assistance of his seven sons. He was married to Elizabeth Baughman, March 2, 1836. This union resulted in the birth of ten children, nine of whom reached maturity: Isaac, Milton, Oliver, Wesley, of Iowa; Fred, of Minnesota; Nancy, Henry, of Chicago; Mrs. Jane Cole, Battle Creek, Mich.; and Mrs. Joseph Bender. Milton, Mrs. Bender and Nancy are now deceased.

The wife died Dec. 15, 1888, having been an active and consistent member of the Christian church. Mrs. Hannah Foster, of Chicago, became Mr. Crisman's second wife.

The deceased has been in poor health for some time and his demise was momentarily expected by his family.

The funeral was held Sunday morning from the school house, the burial taking place at the cemetery north of Crisman, besides his first wife.
