Gary Leland Hoyle Sr., 71, of Lynchburg, VA, died Friday, February 22, 2013. He was the husband of Joan G. Hoyle for 48 years.
Born Saturday, March 29, 1941 in Philadelphia, PA, Gary was a son of the late Earl Augustus Hoyle. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Air Force. Gary worked for the government as a part of HVAC for 45 years before retiring in 1996. He attended Living Waters Ministry Church.
In addition to his wife, Gary is survived by a son, Gary Leland Hoyle, Jr., of Lynchburg; Regina L. Davis of Nanjemoy, MD; his granddaughters: Brittany Dagenhart and Courtney Dunn, both of Lynchburg; his grandsons: Matthew, Joshua, Jacob, and Caleb Hoyle all of King George; his great-grandchildren: Bryce, Leighton, and Sadie Dagenhart, all of Lynchburg; and Noah Hoyle of King George.
Gary was a Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and a Great Grandfather. He was well known and loved in the community. He will be dearly missed by all the ones who had the honor to know him.
The family will receive friends from Noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, February 28 at Tharp Funeral Home. Lynchburg. A celebration of Gary's life will follow at 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 28, 2013 with Rev. Raj officiating. Interment will follow in Tree of Life Cemetery.
