The funeral for Martha A. Ramsey Breaid will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Bishop Funeral Chapel in Pendleton. Interment will be in the Kaysville (Utah) Cemetery.

Mrs. Breaid, 83 of Pendleton, died Friday, September 22, 1989, in Pendleton. She was born March 27, 1906 at Layton, Utah, and was raised and educated in Davis County. She graduated from Davis High School.

In January 1926, she married Orville Samuel Ramsey at Salt Lake City. They left Utah in 1936 and moved to Pendleton where her husband was the first general manager of Smith Canning Company. Mr. Ramsey died in 1946 and in 1950, she married Whitelaw Moore Breaid who died in 1987.

Mrs. Breaid had been employed at Kathryn’s Dress Shop and the Frances Shop, but spent most of her life as a housewife. Besides her husbands, two sisters and two brothers also died earlier. Survivors include daughters, Geri R. (Mrs. W.W.) Keylock of Hawaii, and Renee R. (Mrs. Sanford W.) Bishop; a sister, Algie (Mrs. Charles) Scoffield of Utah; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
