My mother's obituary:

Annie Catherine Blankenship, 79, of Evington, died Wednesday January 29, 2014. She was the wife of the late Carl Edward Blankenship. Catherine was born August 9, 1934, in Huddleston, a daughter of the late Joel Nathaniel Woodford and the late Lillie Creasy Woodford. She was a member of Marsh Memorial United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Ann Phipps of Evington; her granddaughter, Katelyn Coghill of Evington, and a sister, Dorothy Woodford of Huddleston. In addition to her husband, and parents, she was preceded in death by eight brothers. The family will receive friends from 12 until 1 p.m. Saturday February 1, 2014, at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg with a graveside service to follow 1:30 p.m. at Spring Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider making memorial donations to the Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250.
