Darlene graduated from O'Neill (NE.) High School in 1949. Darlene married Morris Kirkpatrick on February 17, 1951 in O'Neill, Nebraska; they were married for 62 years. Darlene worked at the O'Neill Nursing Center, O'Neill, Nebraska; she was also a home caregiver. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, O'Neill, Nebraska, United Methodist Women, the American Legion Auxiliary, V.F.W. Auxiliary and The Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Darlene is preceded in death by: parents and daughter in law, Roxanne.
Darlene is survived by: husband, Morris Kirkpatrick of Norfolk, Nebraska; children, Danny Kirkpatrick and wife Ginger, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Gary Kirkpatrick of Blair, Nebraska and Terri Krysl and husband Kip, of O'Neill, Nebraska; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild and brother, Francis Summers of O'Neill, Nebraska.
Funeral Services for Darlene Kirkpatrick was at 10:30 A.M., Monday, February 3, 2014, at The United Methodist Church, O'Neill, Nebraska with burial in the O'Neill Cemetery, O'Neill, Nebraska. Rev. Craig Collins was officiator.
