Doyle Thompson Burnett, 83, of Interlachen, FL passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Haven Hospice E.T. York Care Center in Gainesville following an extended illness. He was a native of Live Oak and had lived in Interlachen since 1985 coming from Eustis. He served in the U.S. Air Force and attended First Baptist Church in Interlachen. He worked as an international representative for the electrical workers union (IBEW). Doyle was a member of Moose Lodge #84 and loved to fish.

He is preceded in death by his son, Frank Cribbs as well as six brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his long time companion, Virginia Carmichael of Interlachen; son, Allen Burnett of Eustis, daughter, Sarita Taylor (Hank) of Gainesville; daughter-in-law, Blanche Branham Cribbs of Jacksonville; 8 grandchildren, Blaine Taylor, Haley Taylor, Melinda Burnett, Cody Burnett (Amber), Frank Cribbs, Jr., Matt Gandy, Amber Trainor (Jason), Scott Gandy (Sandra) and 2 great-grandchildren, Ashley Bordigon and T.J. Bordigon.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, January 27, 2014 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Interlachen with Pastor Tony Clubb officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until the time of service at 2:00 P.M.
