Sarah Elizabeth "Lizzie" (Geiger) VanLieu is buried here next to her daughter Clara Mae (VanLieu) Niederman, wife of Jonathan Smith Niederman. Samuel and Lizzie were divorced about 1910 and Lizzie was listed as mother-in-law and living in the household of Jonathan Niederman at the time of the 1920, 1930, and 1940 United States Census records. As per her Ohio Certificate of Death, Lizzie died on March 17, 1947 and was buried on March 20, 1947 in Greenwood Cemetery. It appears she was buried in the Niederman plot next to her daughter and son-in-law as there is no other Elizabeth VanLieu in the Greenwood burial records.
