Billy was an avid Tennessee Volunteer Fan. He was also a United States Army Veteran having served in the Korean War. Billy is preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Anna Ruth Burton Halcomb; Father, Hobert Disney Halcomb; Daughter, Veronica J. Trame; Grandson, Michael T. Halcomb; Daughter in Law, Patricia E. Halcomb; Brothers, Joe M. Halcomb and Clyde Burris Jr. ; Sister, Peggy Caylor.
Billy is survived by his: Mother Ada Reed, age 97 of Lake City; Sons William R. Halcomb and wife Angela of Lake City, Michael R. Halcomb and wife ara of New Market, TN; Grandsons Will Halcomb and wife Tina of Richmond, KY, Josh Halcomb of Rutledge, TN, Nick Halcomb and wife Christina of Myrtle Beach, SC, Kendall Halcomb of New Market, TN; Granddaughter Regina Mynatt and husband David of Knoxville, Amanda Trame and special fiance Dustin Glover of Louisville, KY, Anna Halcomb of New Market, TN; Brothers Joe Burris and wife Linda of Alcoa, TN, Tommy Burris of Maynardville, TN; Sisters Sylvia Roach of Harrisburg, PA, Mary Ellison of Lake City; Sister in Law Dorothy Halcomb of Tullahoma, TN; In Laws Frank and Wanda Cox of Lake City, Charlene Langston of Clinton, Johnny and Wanda Cox of Lake City, Janie Sheppard of Smyrna, TN, Kay Webb of Oliver Springs, TN, Lawrence and Sue Foust of Lake City, TN; 8 Great Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 from 6 - 8 PM with the funeral service to follow at 8:00 PM with the Rev. Charles Harness officiating. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 10:15 AM and go in funeral procession to the Anderson Memorial Gardens in Clinton for a 11:00 AM graveside service.
