Florence Elizabeth Morris, 81, of Kittanning, died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, while traveling in Williams, Ariz. She was born March 16, 1927, in Yatesboro, a daughter of the late Clarence and Elizabeth Ann (Thompson) Slagle. Mrs. Morris was a member of the West Kittanning Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and was a resident of the area most of her life. She enjoyed pulling weeds, traveling, gambling, bingo and spending time with her family. Florence loved camping in Vowinckel. She is survived by two sons, Wayne Morris and his wife, Georgia, and Ed Morris and his wife, Sue, all of West Kittanning; four daughters, Polly Milito and her husband, Peter, of Ford City, Sue Snyder, of West Kittanning, Janice Ray and Bill, of Bedias, Texas, and Cindy Yantos and her husband, Gary, of Worthington; 10 grandchildren, Matthew Morris, Michael Milito and his wife, Wanda, David Milito and Amber, Marc Milito and his wife Amy, Heather Ford and her husband, Jay, Ed Morris and his wife, Chris, Andrew Morris, Allyson Morris, Daniel Yantos and Mackenzie Yantos; 15 great-grandchildren; and her special love, Ken Hoge, of Naples, Fla. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward K. "Ted" Morris, whom she married Feb. 15, 1945, and who died Jan. 20, 1981; two brothers, Clarence and Charles Slagle; and three sisters, Katherine Palmer, Maxine Shields and Elsie Zampanini. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the BAUER FUNERAL HOME, 515 N. McKean St., Kittanning, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. A. David Meneely officiating. Interment will be held in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, East Franklin Township.
