Ralph E. Dameron died at age 88 on Thursday, December 24, 1981, at Marion Memorial Hospital.
He was born in the community of Sato on September 7, 1893, the son of John and Sarah Martin Dameron.
He married Josephine Partington in Murphysboro on September 30, 1917.
He is survived by his wife; one son, Leeburn J.J. Dameron of Marion; two daughters, Mrs. Sarah Poe and Rosemary Rice, both of Marion; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one brother, Noah Dameron of Sparta; one sister, Mabel Eryp of Anaheim, California; two half-sisters, Ruby Howell of Gulfport, Florida and Lucille Crisler of St. Petersburg, Florida; and one half-brother, Clyde Dameron of Sun City, Arizona.
His step-mother and six brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
