Born September 19, 1925, in Woodruff, she was the daughter of the late Ralph B. Taylor and Vera (Jones) Taylor, and was the widow of William Wade Darnell.
She was a homemaker, and was a current member of Bellview Baptist Church, and a former member of New Life Baptist Church.
Mrs. Darnell is survived by three sons, Billy Darnell of Greenville, Randy Darnell of Carlisle, and Terry Darnell of Inman; two daughters, Brenda Hughes of Enoree, and Tammy Godfrey of Woodruff; a brother, Ralph A. Taylor of Lexington; a sister, Jo Ann Hautamaki of Woodruff; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family received friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2005, at Lanford Funeral Home.
Graveside services were held 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 21, 2005, at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens, conducted by Dr. Wilbur Rush.
