A family tree on Ancestry.com gives Elizabeth's parents as John Moon (b.1791 PA) and Elizabeth Clapper (b.1792 PA).

Elizabeth married Rev. Jesse Schlosser on 21 Mar 1833 in Stark County, Ohio. Their first child was son Perry N., born on 9 Feb 1834 in Osnaburg Township, Stark, Ohio. Other children of the couple included daughter Isabel (b.1838 OH), son Christian (b.1840 OH), Mary (b.1842 OH), Selina (b.1850 OH), Lyman (b.1851 OH), son Jesse (b.1852) and Sarah (b.1856) (all name spellings and birthdates approximate). A family tree on Ancestry.com attributes other children to the couple as well.

I couldn't find the family on the 1850 Census, but they were clearly somewhere in Ohio. I did find them in 1860, living in Fairfield, Greene Co., Ohio, where Jesse, aged 48, was a clergyman. Wife Elizabeth, aged 47, was home with their six children--Christian, aged 20, Mary, aged 18, Selina, aged 10, Jesse, aged 8, Lyman, aged 9 (but hard to decypher), and Sarah, aged 4. Daughter Isabel had married Benjamin Outcalt on 14 May 1857 in Fairfield County, Ohio.

Son Perry was not with the family on that census record, but he was certainly still in Ohio. When the Civil War erupted, Perry enlisted with Co. H of the 8th Ohio Cavalry, mustering in on 18 Sep 1861. He also later served with the 44th Ohio Infantry.

By the 1870 Census, Jesse and Elizabeth had moved the family to Center Township, Plymouth, Marshall County, Indiana. Jesse, aged 58, was a minister. Elizabeth, aged 56, was at home with their three children--Jesse, aged 18 and working on a farm, Sarah, aged 14, and Perry, aged 30 and also doing farm labor. After he returned from the Civil War, Perry appears to have married a girl named Annie. Sadly, she died on 4 Dec 1869, likely the reason Perry was back living with his parents.

Jesse Sr. died five years after that census on 13 Jan 1875 at age 62. Elizabeth appeared on the 1880 Census, aged 67, with son Perry, aged 46, employed as an engineer. Also living in the home was 23-year-old Mary Schlosser, her relationship to the others unclear.

Elizabeth died seven years later on 30 Mar 1887 at age 75, and was laid to rest next to Jesse, her husband of forty one years.
