Meyer Abel
Mr. Meyer Abel, for fifty years a resident of Cleveland, passed away early Monday morning after a three days' illness of pneumonia. Mr. Abel was seventy-two years old. He was born in Germany. Forty-seven years ago he married Miss Hattie Einstein. He was one of the oldest members of the Temple and also a member of Elias Lodge.
The funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon at 3:30, from his late residence, 10219 Westchester avenue. The interment was at Mayfield cemetery. Rabbi M. J. Gries officiated. The pallbearers were Messrs. Morris S. Abel, Carl Halle, Julius Kahn, Joseph Einstein, J. Wasserman and Charles Knapp.
Besides his widow he is survived by three sons, Messrs. Albert, Jack and Fred Abel; one daughter. Miss Sadie Abel, and four grandchildren.
