Jack E. Johnston, 74, died at his home in Westlake, Idaho, on Jan. 10, 2014, of cancer. He was born April 24, 1939, at the family home in Craigmont by Dr. Collins to James H. Johnston and Laura Drube Johnston.

Jack and Martha Ann would spend summers at the farm in Westlake and winters at their home in Craigmont attending school. Jack married Dawn Trombetta on March 25, 1963, at Winnemucca, Nev. They moved to Westlake and began farming and ranching. Here they raised their three children, Cheryl Ann, Jimmy Joe and Jack Jason (Jake).

Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Dawn; his son, Jake; his parents; his sister, Matha Ann Freeman; half-brothers Mike, Oz, Harry and Al; and half-sister Jamesena.
