Early Life | Education: Ron was born November 11, 1937, in Provo, Utah, to William Kirby and Rhoda Allen. He was educated in Orem and graduated from Lincoln High School.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: On August 13, 1964, Ron married Patricia Moore in the Logan Utah Temple. He was later blessed with three children: Scott, Steffani and Tyler. Ron loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his family. He also enjoyed gardening, spending many spring months growing tomato plants from seeds to give to family and friends. His love of woodworking and things he made is enjoyed by many. Ron served as a policeman and then detective (his favorite) for the Orem Police Department for 23 years. Ron was very giving to anyone who needed help. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Ronald J. Allen, loving husband, father and brother, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 22, 2014, of congestive heart failure. He was 76 years old.
Survived By: His wife, Pat; children: Scott, Steffani (Mark) from Bristow, VA; and Tyler (Sonya) from Lehi; four grandchildren; three sisters: Mary Downs, LaRae McMillan (Kenneth) Carol Gollinger (Pat).
Predeceased By: His parents, brothers: Kenneth, Jesse, Shirley; and sisters: Neola, Eva and June.
