Jennings – Evan Ardoin, 78, a retired farmer, died at 9:50 p.m. Tuesday at his home at 907 Grace St. in Jennings. He had been ill for five years.
The body will remain at the Segura Funeral Home until final rites at 9:30 a.m. Thursday. Services will be from the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Rev. John Windt, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the Reed Cemetery.
Ardoin moved to Jennings eight years ago from Basile.
Survivors include four sons, Willie & Cline Ardoin, both of Jennings, Felix Ardoin of Egan and Clemance Ardoin of Evangeline; three daughters, Mrs. Richard Bergeaux and Mrs. O.B. Whitehead, both of Jennings, Mrs. Roman Hebert of Basile; five brothers, Martin, Arthur, Osman & Dariaus, all of Basile and Adam of Mamou; one sister, Mrs. Fernest Daigle of Jennings and eight grandchildren.
