Funeral services for Lloyd Grayson, age 90, of Poynor are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Frankston. Interment will follow at Poynor Cemetery.
Mr. Grayson went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 in Athens.
Lloyd was born July 7, 1923 in Newburg, MO.
Lloyd served as a Corporal in the United States Army Air Corp. While in the Army, he met the love of his life, Ruby Milner, whom he married, and was married to for 66 years.
He retired as a supervisor from Bell Helicopter, was a supervisor for Lang Contractors, and a manager at the Poynor Post Plant.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Grayson; parents, Dewey and Myrtle Helms Grayson; grandson, Kevin Grayson; brothers, Gerald, Pattie, and Lois Grayson; sister, Erma Greer; and sister-in-law, Pat Grayson.
Survivors include his son, Tommy Grayson and wife Lois of Poynor; brothers, Lester Grayson and David Grayson, both of Rolla, MO; sister-in-law, Lois Atchison of Poynor; grandchildren, Thomas Grayson, Jr. and wife Angela, Nathan Grayson and wife Angela, Angie Watts and husband Eddie, Rebecca Stanwood and husband Nathan; fourteen great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Steve Smith, Randy Parker, Carl Abendroth, Ray Alsobrook, Fibber McGee, and Clarence Morton.
Visitation will begin on Saturday, January 25, 2014 with family receiving friends from 5-7 p.m. at Autry Funeral Home in Frankston.
