PERU BUSINESS MAN DIES

PERU, Ind, Jan. 21 – Peter J.
Thoennes, prominent citizen, who
for the past eight years has con-
ducted a grocery and market on East
Main street died Thursday morning
at the residence, 330 East Fifth
street. Mr Thoennes was taken sud-
denly ill at 9 o'clock Wednesday
evening with heart trouble and grew
worse rapidly. He funeral services
will be held from the St. Charles
Catholic church Monday morning at
9 o'clock. Mr. Thoennes is survived
by six children, one bother and one
sister.
