MRS. NETTIE FRIEND CLAIMED BY DEATH


Ill Three Days; Funeral To Be Wednesday


Mrs. Nettie R. Friend, 77, of the Bucyrus pike four and one-half miles north of Marion, died t 1:15 a.m. Saturday at her home after an illness of three days. She suffered a cerebral hemorrhage.


She was born Nov. 11, 1867, in Marion county to Daniel and Rachel McFarland Linn. On Nov. 11, 1920, she was married to Lewis Friend, who survives.


She is also survived by her children, Mrs. Arthur Tubbs of 375 Scranton avenue, Mrs. Bert Radebaugh, Harley Jones and Mrs. (Mr.) Clark E. Jones, all of near Marion, Harry Jones of Cleveland and Mrs. Carl VanScoy of 439 Silver street, a step-daughter, Mrs. Harry Smith of Chicago and 19 grandchildren, a brother, Arthur Linn of Marion.


Funeral services will be conducted at the Merle H, Hughes mortuary on Mt. Vernon avenue Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. Rev. E.M. Hertzler, pastor of First Church of the Brethren, will officiate. Burial will be in Marion cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7:30 p.m. tonight.
