Mrs. Laura Belle Smith, 82, died at 2:30 pm on February 24, 1955 at her home in Ina after a long illness. Mrs. Smith was born in Jefferson County in 1873, the daughter of James Wright and Nancy Jane (Blalock) Wright. She was married to Charles Albert Smith, who preceded her in death September 3, 1954. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Bonnie Missionary Baptist church. She was survived by one son, John William Smith, of Ina, Illinois; two daughters, Mrs. Florence Pierce and Mrs. Ethel Wallace, both of Bonnie, Illinois; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
